Didn't get the chance to give Miss Clarity Cafe (Purvis Street, opposite National Library) a try the previous 2 times as the queue was horrible, horrible. Determined to eat there, your good friend, me, is smart enough to go there earlier at 5.30pm instead, ha!

See? No people, compared to disgusting crowd at 7pm. There's such a big hoo-ha over this cafe. Magazines, food blogs, TV shows & newspaper has been reporting on it, thus, cannot don't try ar. Somemore the reviews have been quite good on the average.

Before commenting on the food itself, I have to say the design of the cafe is really....yucky. Well, not for the guys & girls who are more man (like me) at least. I think I saw my guy friends foaming at their mouth.

The whole place is so pinkish, with many cartoons of who else but Miss Clarity herself. The tables, untensils & decorations they used are rather low-class looking. But, it's definitely forgivable & soon, you will know why.

Come to the food, I had the Chicken Cordon Bleu ($8.80). Saw it? No ++! The price you saw on the menu is what you pay for, that's really nice. Who cares about the not-so-nice utensils , tables & stuff? Everything's fine as long as there is no GST & service charge (um chio). This main dish is good, especially the melted cheese on the chicken.

Black Pepper Chicken ($7.50). Nice.

Fish & Chips ($7.50). Taste great too. Oh ya, we each added an additional $3 to make it a set. With it, we have Mushroom Soup, Barley drink & dessert of the day (Chocolate ice-cream) too. But! I would suggest to just take their main dish as their soup & barley drink taste suspiciously weird.

Super weird tasting mushroom soup (one of the friends even stopped at his first spoon) & lao ya chocolate ice-cream with icicles in it, store very long liao eh? I don't usually eat chocolate ice-cream, but it will be a waste of my $3 if i don't eat it because among the soup, drink & dessert, ice-cream is the only edible one! Just go for their main dish, period.

We just can't have enough of Tom's Palette. Flavours tried this time round : Hazelnut, Apple Pie, Longans & Red Dates, Lavender. Freaking nice lah, better than B&J can. Friday has officially become the Tom's Palette day for colleagues & myself. Woohoo~
