If you are on a tighter budget yet doesn't want to eat in a hawker, go to Rocky Master (opposite National Library). They don't charge GST or service charge. For less than $10, you can get a different variety of food, of good quality somemore.

Special mention is their Sausage with Wedges ($5.90). You have a choice of either a chicken or beef sausage.

It wasn't stated on the menu that they will be serving the set with cheese dip, so I was very surprised & overwhelmed with joy when I saw the cheese, they even gave 2! Despite the no-service-charge, the girl that served us was very nice :)

This is another cheapo cafe , the Popular Cafe @ Bras Basah. As from the name, you can guess it is located within a Popular.

The food nothing much lah, taste like how frozen food should taste like after deep frying it. But for the price, can't expect much either. All these you see in the picture cost less than $7. No GST & service charge too.

It's no secret that I'm a fries lover. So when Yella Fella, a shop that specialised in fries, opened in the newly revamped Bugis Junction basement (near my workplace!), I almost cried in joy. The opening of Yella Fella, to me, is equivalent to Singapore's joy in winning their bid in hosting Youth Olympics.

For small ($2), you get a cone of fries & get to choose 1 special sauce from the 12 special sauces they have. For big ($2.90), you get a tray of fries & a special sauce. Chili sauce & ketchup is free.

VERY NICE!!!

Gloria Jean's Coffee always serve decent coffee and cakes.

But, their Sherperd's Pie ($3.95) is NOT fit for human consumption. Period.
