Went to Shokodo Food Bazaar @ Raffles City (#B1-44E) with S.S is the best because he's never late. In fact, he has a habit of arriving the meeting place 15 minutes earlier just so his date doesn't have to wait.
If only everyone is like that...
Anyway, the place was just the Japanese version of Marche, sharing the same concept of walking around & buy whatever food you want with a card, then pay the total bill as you are leaving. Can chope seats with a reservation tag that they will give as you enter.
There are many interesting stalls like the teppanyaki, sushi, yakitori & desserts stalls.
There are different interior designs at differest areas of the place too.
We shared a matcha drink, teppanyaki garlic fried rice, mushroom & cheese omelett, and some yakitori. Everything was nice, but special mention was the omelett. It was damn freaking nice lah.
It's so delicious that we decided to get another one, this time round we choosed ham & cheese omelett, leaving our drink & reservation tag on the table while we order.
But when we came back, we found out that someone has already cleared our table. Wah lau, very angry lah, so we talked to one of their staff. They got us another seat & compensated our lost drink.
Total bill was $42.25, including GST & service charge. Seriously, I still don't get why should I pay them service charge when we have to carry the food ourselves. Marche doesn't charge that. Hmm.
Anyway, we had desserts at Canele, also at Raffles City (#B1-81/82).
The menu.
I've always wanted to try their famous macarons which cost $2.30++ each. It's small but definitely worth the price tag. Had to walk over to their counter to order the macarons, so I just got S to choose 2 flavours, of which he choosed Violet & Caramel.
We shared a crepe nougatine ($13.50++) as well. Simply adored it but luckily we shared, cos we got a little sick after eating this for a while.
