It has been a year since my last (and first) visit to Botak Jones. Was nearby their branch at Depot Road after walking the Southern Ridges, so went for my second visit with E.

Singaporeans are still loving them, the queue was long lah. And why are there so many people doing at Depot Road anyway?

After a long wait, my Giant Beef Hotdog Set ($9) was finally ready for me to devour. I don't think it was because I'm hungry but the hotdog was surprisingly good, I really like it. Too bad we can no longer ask for more fries FOC.

E had the Salmon Set ($14). I have noticed their shrunken portion too, they used to be very generous with their fries. Service was great though, they are all happy people, always smiling.

Back at Sunset Tavern @ Sunset Way again. Hao wanted to see some pretty girls, so brought him here since the previous time when I was drinking with Mz & JJ, we saw quite a few eye candies, lol.

Sadly, the eye candies seem to be missing. Ah Lians were there to replace them. Sian!

Due to the great disappointment, Hao order a jug of Vodka Redbull ($41+) & drown himself in sorrow, lol.

I was quite sian diao too but the impact wasn't as great as Hao, so I just had their cocktail - Melon Ball ($11+).

This was where we had our dinner before the drinks at Sunset Tavern.

Didn't want to blog about this initially since this was just some normal western food from a food court at Sunset Way. But the stuff I ate was so horrible that I needed to complain.

When my Pork Chop ($6) came, I got a shock. Because it was the flattest prok chop I have ever seen lah. Not even that, the mushroom sauce on the meat & fries was so salty that I wonder if they own a salt harvesting company. The garlic bread tasted stale as well.

Pui.

It wasn't intentional, but I was back at Sunset Tavern the next day after the trip with Hao. This time round, it's with Mz, JJ & Wj to check out if the eye candies were really gone.

Mz's Blue Hawaiian ($14+) and my Tequila Sunrise ($15+), both cocktails.

JJ's shooter - Illusion ($12+). Wj had...well, iced water, lol.

Apparently, the eye candies were there, guess they only work on certain days. However, we agreed that they doesn't seem as chio as we remembered. Maybe we were drunk that day, haha.

Sorry, Hao! Wrong info, lol.

Mum came to visit me at work. So, brought her to the nearby Liang Seah Street for desserts at the famous Ah Chew Desserts. Duh.

She had Yang Zhi Gan Lu ($3.80). Not the best, but still good.

I had Honeydew Sago ($2.20) which was not too bad as well.
