A random dinner with Al at Xin Wang HK Cafe, Marina Square.

Curry Chicken Rice ($7.50++) was what she had, as usual, while I tried another dish from the menu, Chicken Chop & Fries ($8.50++). Both weren't too bad & I love the additional touch of adding Char Siew sauce on my fried egg.

But anyway, this wasn't important so let's hurry & move on to Max Brenner :)
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------

I frequent Max Brenner at Esplanade, bringing different groups of friends each time, purely because I love this place so much that I want to share it with people around me.

It's unavoidable that I'll always tell Al how nice the chocolate drinks & desserts there are, but never had the chance to bring her there. So I made it a point to bring her there when we meet after her exams & BEFORE mine.

I always had their hot chocolate or fondue when I was there, but this time round, I tried their cold chocolate selections aka Choctails. I had Toffe Chochishake ($8.90++), and Al had Chocolate Granite ($8.90++).

Know what? The first sip sent me to Heaven, and the next thing I know, I was dancing happily on cloud nine with the subsequent sips. I really wondered why I've never ordered their Choctails earlier. 很好喝leh! And the cups are cute.

Now go to Max Brenner youself while I burn my calories.

It's Wai Gong's birthday & so the maternal family went to Shangri-La's Shang Palace for a lunch cum celebration.

Prior to lunch, I read up food reviews on Shang Palace & most weren't exactly kind to them, so I kept my expectations real low. But surprise surprise, the service was fantastic & the food wasn't as bad as I thought.

Bro even sent an email to Shangri-La to compliment (not complain) the waiter serving us.

We were seated at what I call "The Big Shot Room", muahaha. We had dim sum there & the whole meal cost $337...what a dim sum affair.

The most kio tio thing was this complimentary cake (please ar, it's a whole cake, not just this piece) from The Line, which was a level below Shang Palace. It's The Line famous chocolate cake somemore, freaking nice lah.

My very hip Wai Gong.

LOL.

我们都是一家人!

This is what I call indulging yourself, even at home.
